General scope of project consists of removing deteriorated asphalt-cement concrete roadway pavement, regrading the vertical alignment, rebuilding the roadway to a new wider roadway with new base course, new portland-cement concrete surface, new curb and gutter, and new storm sewer. The project also includes digouts for poor subgrade, utility adjustments, railroad crossing, filter fabric sidewalk, seeding, and striping. The magnitude of the contract is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The standard industrial classfication code is 1611. A tentative issue date of 08 Aug 1995 is established to make documents available. All requests shall indicate business status as large, small, small disadvantaged, women owned, etc. This action is being considered for a 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB's should notify our office in writing of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible, but must reach this office not later than 31 Jul 1995. This notification shall include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude, complete information concerning management experience in similar work, and financial status including bonding ability. This data must be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
