The Forest Service intends to contract for the furnishing and placement of a 100 foot long shot-rock fill approach causeway with riprap slope protection; fabricating, furnishing and constructing a 14.5' by 14.5' high treated timber and rock fill abutment crib with a glu-laminated timber sill; fabricating, furnishing, socketing and installing steel pipe pile bents with steel pile cap and steel connection hardware; designing, fabricating, furnishing and installing 12' wide by 60' long treated timber pedestrian bridge spans for use as a fishing pier; and fabricating, furnishing and installing a treated timber guardrail system. Project area is located near Starrigavan Campground at the end of Halibut Point Road approximately 7 miles north of Sitka, Alaska. Sitka is on Baranof Island approximately 90 miles southwest of Juneau, Alaska. Price range is estimated to be between $100,000-$250,000.
