Project work includes the installation of a vertical water well, submersible well pump, electrical controls and associated appurtenances, a total of approximately 2930 linear feet of waterline, a frost-proof hydrant, approximately 400 linear feet of electrical line, a septic tank, 2 leachfield systems and miscellaneous site work. The work shall be performed for the Cleveland National Forest. To reach project locations from San Diego, CA, travel Interstate 8 east to (1) Cottonwood Station via Buckman Springs Road; turn south and travel approximately 3 miles to the Fire Station. (2) Descanso Station via Japatul Valley Road: turn north and travel approximately 1 mile to Riverside Drive, then turn west on Viejas Grade and travel approximately 0.5 mile to the Fire Station. (3) Japatul Station via Japatul Valley Road: turn south and travel approximately 5.3 miles to Lyons Valley Road, then turn east and travel approximately 1.6 miles to Horse Thief Canyon (F.S. Road 16S04), then turn north and travel approximately 0.7 mile to the Fire Station. Contract time is 236 calendar days. Solicitations will be available on or about 08/15/95.
