817/676-5180. Work consists of the following: Install three suspended
loading/ checkout frames to be furnished by the government to include
3 load frames, load frame installation kit, cruise missile pylon, SRAM
launcher, AGMBRL adapters and loading frame modification kit. The
frames shall be ceiling mounted from existing structure in accordance
with TO's 11N-H5079-2, 11N-H5091-4 and H5079-2. The contractor shall
install all accessories, leg assemblies, AFT hoist and rotator
assembly. The contractor shall install the cruise missile pylon, SRAM
launcher and AGMBRL adapters to the load frames. The contractor shall
install the launcher loading frame modification kit to two of the
frames. The work to install the load frames generally consists of the
following: raise and clamp load frame to the structural beams; transfer
holes to support structure and fittings; shim, level and align frames;
install epoxy resin, plates, sleeves and bolts; and install leg
assemblies, AFT hoist and rotator assembly. The contractor shall make
all hydraulic connections to one load frame to provide a complete and
usable piece of training equipment. The contractor shall provide
hydraulic system tests, operational checkout tests, isolation checks,
and load tests. The contractor shall furnish and install (Reference
Section VII of TO 11N-H5079-2) fittings, fiberglass plates, shims,
bolts, washers, bushings and nuts, epoxy resin and other consumables.
The building structure has been specifically designed and constructed
to carry the load frames to be installed. Structural support beams are
W14x90 steel beams supported by building trusses (bottom flanges of
W14x90 steel beams are +/-17'-0'' AFF). Load frames are approximately
27 feet x 7 feet x 2 feet in size and weigh approximately 16,000 pounds
each. Contractor shall verify all existing dimensions AND WILL NOT
PRESUME DIMENSIONS INDICATED IN THE TECHNICAL ORDERS ARE CORRECT. After
installation of load frames, contractor shall paint all existing
ferrous metal that is currently painted on the load frames and
associated hardware with enamel paint conforming to Federal Spec
TT-E-508/509 or approved equal. Estimated mailing date of solicitation:
10 Aug 95. Estimated cost of project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
Performance period is 30 calendar days. Requests must be in writing.
Telephone requests will not be honored. Acquisition is being issued for
full and open competition. Availability of this solicitation is limited
to one copy per requestor. Copies will be furnished on a first-come,
