C -- ESTABLISH ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR ARTS IIA SYSTEM POC Joseph M. Carey, Contracting Officer, (202)233-3415; Teri Bristol, Contract Specialist, (202)233-3138 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to establish Engineering Support Services under contract DTFA01-90-C-00057, in the form of quick reaction capability in the event outages and other ARTS IIA problems occur. This effort includes the identification and correction of ARTS IIA hardware and software malfunctions and the performance of ''on-call''services at FAA facilities. The Engineering Support Services Team shall be experienced and possess expertise on the ARTS IIA system and shall also provide services for mutually agreed to tasks, when not providing on-call services. The FAA intends to negotiate with Loral Defense Systems-Eagan, P.O. Box 517, Paoli PA 19301, the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the ARTS II System. (0201)
