This amendment is providing notification of a change in the class justification and approval (J&a) for the M109 self-propelledhowitzer (SPH) program system technical support (STS)-engineeringand maintenance efforts. The requirements will be awarded using the class J&a for a period spanning two (2) years in lieu of five (5) years as stated in the original J&a. The Government announces its intent to compete future system (STS) actions upon completion of the two (2) year sole source period provided for herein. Regarding fu-ture competition, consideration is being Given to include them109a2-a5, Paladin, and FAASV requirements on a single contract action. The sole source contractor for this proposed two year contract action is: Barnes & Reinecke, Inc., 425 E. Algonquin Road, arlingtonheights, IL 60005-4683. Effective 1 Oct 94 AMCCOM separated into two new commands; the Industrial Operation Command (IOC) and the AC-quisition chemical armament logistics activity (ACALA).
