The system shall be a range-azimuth laser-based system using only one shore-based tracking station. The measurement and tracking process shall have a dead reckoning and search when target contact is interrupted by other objects. The data shall be transmitted to the boat by means of a built-in telemetry link. The on-shore tracking station shall be remotely controlled by telemetry in order to reduce personnel requirement.
