This project is to convert Bldg 2060, Fairchild AFB, WA, from an alert crew sleeping quarters facility to an operational support squadron administrative facility. Work includes but is not limited to patching and repairing existing walls, removing and replacing carpeting, removing interior walls and bathrooms, replacing existing light fixtures, replacing existing and providing new doors and hardware, and painting/refinishing interior walls/doors/ceilings. Building 2060 is single story facility of approximately 15,600 SF. The estimated value of the work is between $250,000 and $500,000. The contract performance period will be 105 calendar days. Government furnished materials will not be included. The standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1542. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 8 August 1995 under the Straddle Bid program. This procurement is being considered for 100% Small Disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should contact the Fairchild AFB contracting office as soon as possible, but no later than 4 August 1995. Interested parties must include a positive statment of eligibility as an SDB concern, evidence of capacity to obtain bonds for a project of this magnitude, and information that demonstrates a capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice.
