Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials and performance of all operations necessary to remove, relocate existing tornado sirens at McConnell AFB, KS. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing sirens, poles, air compressors, underground power source, telephone cables and relocate poles, sirens, electrical and telephone service utilizing existing and new materials, and all other miscellaneous work as necessary to complete the project. Magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. Anticipated issuance date forIFB Solicitation Number F14614-95-B0036 is 18 Aug 95. Tentative opening date is 19 Sep 95. Performance period will be 90 calendar days after notice to proceed. Standard Classification Code is 1731. This action is being considered for 100% set-asides for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concens should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 calendar days of this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disavantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capacity to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis witout further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business conerns. Project requirements will be made available on or about 18 Aug 95. No telephone requests for bid sets will be honored. All requests for bid sets must be in writing.
