The work to be performed includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following principal features: 1. Layout and establish at the site, the location of the building and supporting features including site utilities. 2. Demolish that portion of the existing building as required to perform the new construction and renovation. Demolition work includes the rerouting of underground utilities and mechanical HVAC equipment. All work shall be accomplished in such a manner as to minimize utility interruption and functioning of the library. Provide notifications as required. 3. The new construction consists of, but is not limited to, a 2000 +/- square foot addition constructed as follows: a. Concrete foundation with a concerete block foundation wall, concrete slab on grade. Exterior walls are light gage metal studs and plywood sheathing, finished with exterior finish and insulation system. The roof is a standing seam metal roof on plywood on wood trusses. The interior is gypsum board on metal studs with paint and tile finishes. The ceilings are suspended acoustical tile or gypsum board. The floor finishes are carpet or tile. The mechanical system is direct expansion air conditioning and gas furnace. b. The renovation portion of project includes several rooms that are to be stripped of all of the interior finishes to the existing studs. New finishes are to be installed over the existing studs. The renovation includes demolishing the existing carpet through out the library and installing new carpet. The installation of a new automatic fire sprinkler system through out the new and the existing facility is part of the project. There is a non-refundable charge of $42.00 for each solicitation package. Make checks, money orders or bank drafts. payable to Accounting and Finance. Only written request will be accepted. The request and check, money order or bank draft must bear the solicitation number. This is an unrestricted acquisition. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
