maintainability and supportability data on components (nozzle, pumps,
powerhead, Main Engine controller, valves, hydraulic actuators, flex
and rigid ducts, sensors, spark ignitors and electrical harness) of
Space Shuttle Main Engines. RFQ for this effort will be released
approximately 15 days after publication of this notice and will have a
15 day response period. This procurement is being conducted under the
Simplified Acquisition Threshold portion of the Federal Acquisition
Streamlining Act. Request for copies of the RFQ must be submitted in
writing. Transmission by facsimile to 205-544-4401 or by Internet to
kimberly.adams@msfc.nasa.gov is acceptable. This is a sole-source
procurement with award anticipated to Rockwell International,
Rocketdyne Division, Canoga Park, CA based on their unique position as
manufacturer of the engines and as the only known aerospace company
with historical data. Interested firms have 15 days from the
publication date of this notice to submit their
qualifications/cababilities in the area mentioned above, along with a
