70 -- WEATHER AND RADAR PROCESSOR (WARP) SOL DTFA01-95-R-41302 DUE 100295 POC Barbara Doherty, Contracting Officer, (202) 267-7801 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is releasing the WARP RFP. The WARP is the FAA's future en route weather processing and display system. The FAA intends to replace the existing meteorologist weather processor system with the WARP at all air route traffic control centers and the air traffic control system command center. The FAA plans to procure WARP as a full and open competition. The WARP RFP will be available on or about July 31, 1995. The WARP RFP includes the adjudication of comments received on the DRAFT WARP System Specification dated February 12, 1995 and the Draft WARP RFP dated May 24, 1995. The WARP RFP will be provided in Microsoft Word 6.0. It will be available on the Internet at the following location: ''gopher://depository.dot.gov:70/11/faa/Acquisition_Information/RFPs/W ARP''. Potential offerors who download the RFP from the Internet are requested to send their complete mailing address, point of contact, and phone number to ''warp@mail.hq.faa.gov'' to confirm receipt. The subject line should read exactly ''warp solicitation via the net''. The RFP will not be available through electronic mail. All potential offerors that have requested other WARP documents are on the mailing list and will receive a soft copy of the RFP. Additional requests for the RFP on 3.5 inch disks may be faxed to (202) 267-5142, Attn: B. Doherty. Written requests should be sent to the FAA, Attn: B.Doherty, ASU-320, 800 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC, 20591. Potential offerors should include their complete mailing address, point of contact, and phone number. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
