This equipment is the only means to which the alert function of the Stat-Alert signaling feature of our existing portable Motorola equipment will respond and is mandatory for use with the DES Astro Saber portable radios. The mobile equipment being requested requires 12.5 kHz and 25kHz operational capability to be programmed on individual channels. The requirement also includes the capability of the equipment to operate wide-band between 136-174 MHZ in one model without re-tuning requirements. The equipment must be compatible with the existing Motorola Radio Equipment in use worldwide by the Department. All responsible sources shall respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical information literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements. Pricing data including GSA Schedule if applicable should be included. The response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirement.
