Sanderson, (313)930-5591, Contracting Officer, Contracting Office, (313)930-5580, Additional Contact, Contracting Office, (313)930-5580 The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, Ann Arbor, MI., intends to solicit for the disposal of radioactive waste consisting of the following estimated quantities: thirty (30) 55-gallon drums of compacted, solid, dry radioactive waste; one (1) 15-gallon carbuoy pack of organic liquid radioactive waste in a 30 gallon drum; and sealed sources of radioactive material to be disposed of as radioactive waste. Waste must be removed from facility prior to 09/15/95 due to planned new construction. This will be a firm, fixed-price contract. Solicitation package will be available approximately August 1, 1995. Requests for bid package shall be made in writing to the office indicated above citing Solicitation No. 506-130-95. Telephone requests will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. SIC Code 4953 applies. Size standard is $6.0 millions of dollars.
