Department of State, Office of Technical Operations, Logistics,
Information Management, Systems Operations has a requirement for
replacement of carpet on existing raised tile flooring and replacement
of vinyl tile on raised flooring. Including, but not limited to,
replacing stringers and pedestals. The stringers shall be capable of
supporting a 1110 N (250-pound) concentrated load at midspan without
permanent deformation in excess of 0.25 mm. The pedestals shall be
capable of supporting a 22.24KN (5,000-pound) axial load without
permanent deformation. Carpet shall be nylon filament, loop pile,
minimum 0.8 kg/square m, (24 ounce per yard), minimum density 4,000,
and without cushion. Also, carpet shall conform to FED-STD 372 with a
minimum average critical radiant flux of 0.25 watts per square
centimeter. Flooring to be covered and repaired is approximately 14,750
sq. ft of access flooring. The work is to be performed at Beltsville
Communications Center, Beltville Maryland. The cost is estimated not to
exceed $45,000. All requests for a copy of the Request for Quotation
