S -- CHILD CARE SERVICES SOL N00189-95-R-0253 DUE 090195 POC Contract Specialist, Marlene Chambley, (804) 444-4831; Contracting Officer, Catherine Rudolph (804) 444-3771 The Government will be contracting to civilian child care centers for child care services in the vicinity of U.S. Navy bases in the Hampton Roads area, VA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Jacksonville, FL; San Diego, CA; and the Everett/Bremerton, WA area. Offerors shall be certified by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAECP) or in the process of receiving the accreditation, state licensed, and meet the minimum insurance requirement specified in the solicitation. Conditional awards will be based on the child care center obtaining NAECP accreditation; children shall not be accepted under the contract until NAECP accreditation has been received and approval granted by the Contracting Officer for commencement services. Within six months, if not accredited, the Government will terminate for the Convenience of the Government at no cost to either party. Period of performance is 01 October 1995 through 30 September 1996 with one additional option year. A Firm Fixed Priced type contract is anticipated. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Written or facsimile requests will be accepted.
