CONTRACTS FOR MECHANICAL AND/OR ELECTRICAL A-E SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF
VARIOUS PACIFIC RIM REGION MAJOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS The intent of
this announcement is to gather information and responses from firms
interested in low dollar value (less than $50,000) individual orders
for supplemental mechanical and/or electrical Architect-Engineer
services. It is anticipated that the majority of the work will be in
the nature of drawing and design review of the mechanical and/or
electrical portions of major new construction projects designed by
others. It is also possible that other work, such as studies and
analysis of existing building systems and elevator inspections, may
also be required. If and when a project or need is identified, we will
select from this list; until that time, no selection will be made. The
procedures in FAR 36.602-5 will be utilized for final selection. This
list will be used for requirements through September 1996. Budget and
program uncertainties make the use of a more traditional Indefinite
Quantity contract impractical. All work shall be accomplished or
reviewed and approved by professional M/E engineers registered to
practice in the particular professional field in any state within the
boundaries of the Pacific Rim Region (California, Nevada, Arizona or
Hawaii). The firm must have an active production office located within
the geographic boundaries of the Region. Firms are also expected to
have the capacity to perform the majority of the work with existing
in-house staff. Firms having the qualifications to perform these
services are invited to submit SF254/255 within 30 days of publication.
Indicate whether you desire consideration as mechanical, electrical or
both. Note 24 (Monday Edition) applies to the extent it describes the
general process of selection that will be used as requirements
develop. This acquisition is made under the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program, but is open to both large and
small businesses. Small, small disadvantaged and women-owned businesses
are encouraged to apply. This is NOT a request for proposals. (0194) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0023 19950714\C-0005.SOL)
