The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Albany, California has a requirement for a Cytosensor Microphysiometer System for pharmacology and toxicology studies. It must permit simultaneous measurements on at least 4 cultures, in the range of 104 - 106 cells, and have temperature settings to within 0.1 deg c. in range of ambient to 42 deg c. It must sense changes in cell culture pH of 0.01 pH unit per minute or less, and the Data System must display data (pH and rate of pH changes) in all cultures simultaneously. A solicitation is not available. The government intends to negotiate with the only known responsible source.
