Basile, Contracting Officer Provide hand held remote visual inspection (RVI) system to be utilized for assessing interior surface conditions in piping systems. I. The hand held RVI system shall consists of the following: Light Supply Unit; Probe/Monitor and Operation/storage/shipping case; with a total system weight not to exceed 35 lbs. II. The system shall be designed as follows: a single case that serves as an operating, storage, and shipping case; its operation can be performed whether or not the light supply unit is placed in the operating/storage/ shipping case; the probe/monitor can be held and controlled from the palm of the hand (hand held); and equipped with SVHS video output to provide for documentation of the visual images via a VCR or video printer. III. A portable integrated 7-inch color monitor/4-head VHS HQ Player-Recorder with lightweight storage/shipping case to be included as an accessory to the system for storing visual images. IV. Operating Principles: The hand held RVI system shall incorporate a charged coupled device (CCD) chip for visual image transmission. Illumination shall be supplied and automatically controlled by the light supply unit and transferred to the probe tip via a fiberoptic bundle. The system shall operate in environmental conditions which include temperature ranges of +32 degrees F to +105 degrees F, wet/dirty surfaces, and water resistant to 29.4 psi. V. Light Supply Unit: The volume shall not exceed 580 cu. in.; maximum weight shall not exceed 9 lbs.; It shall be powered by 110V A/C or 12V DC power with a recharging capability. A Xenon light source to provide an equivalent of 200W of light output. VI. Probe/Monitor to be interchangeable from the light supply unit and consist of the following: A hand held unit consisting of an integrated viewing image monitor (VIM) assembly and an integrated probe articulation control (PAC) assembly; a CCD/Fiberoptic probe attached to the hand held unit and an interchangeable light source umbilical attached to the hand held unit. VII. The hand held unit shall be designed so that the VIM and the PAC assemblies are integrated as one complete hand held unit. VIII. The VIM assembly shall house the video image monitor and push-button controls for illumination brightness. The video image monitor shall have a 4'' LCD RGB, color image display with not less than 245,000 pixels with two illumination brightness controls: one control to increase and one control to decrease the brightness. The VIM shall be equipped with a design integrated, detachable sun visor. IX. The PAC assembly shall house a joystick-controlled probe articulation control. The dimensions of the VIM assembly shall not exceed 7''L X 5''H X 3''W. The dimensions of the PAC assembly shall not exceed 3.5''L X 10''H X 2''W. X. CCD/Fiberoptic Probe: standard working length shall be 2.0 meters (6.56 feet); one unit will be supplied with a probe of 3.0 meters; probe diameter shall be 8.4 mm (without side view adapter); Field of View shall be 85 degrees forward viewing; depth of field shall be 5 mm - 100 mm; probe shall come equipped with a design-integrated, side-viewing adapter. The side-viewing adapter shall not increase the diameter of the CCD/Fiberoptic probe by more than 2mm; probe shall have four-way, 120 degrees articulation and shall be electronically joystick-controlled from the PAC assembly of the hand held unit; light source umbilical length shall be 60 to 65 inches; maximum weight shall not exceed 5 lbs. XI. Portable integrated 7-inch color monitor/4-head VHS HQ Player-Recorder shall include the following: light weight, high resolution, on screen display, integrated with player recorder; continuous run; automatic 3 speed selection; still frame; frame advance; auto rewind, integrated wireless remote; power specifications - AC adapter; rechargable DC capabilities; Not to exceed 8 1/2''W x 12''H x 14''D; e. Not to exceed 17 lb; Lightweight Shipping/Storage container. Shipping weight of player-recorder, AC adaptor and container not to exceed 36 lbs. Quantity 02 EA for delivery F.O.B.
