Officer, 201-724-3992. Market Survey: The Dismounted Battlespace Battle
Lab will hold a demonstration of countersniper technologies. The
purpose of the demonstration is to promote user/developer interaction
regarding current countersniper technology capabilities and aid in
potential requirements builiding for these technologies. Interested
participants will be provided the opportunity to test their equipment
and obtain discussion and feedback from the user in a cooperative
effort. The exercise will be conducted on or about the first two (2)
weeks of August 1995 at Ft. Benning, GA and will last for a full week
with opportunity to conduct firings at night. Weapons fired for
detection will consist of both NATO and non-NATO small arms up through
Caliber .50. Interested parties must submit an information paper
describing the characteristics of the system to be demonstrated; to
include its maturity, algorithm, and sensor technology. Also included
in the information paper should be any specific system requirements for
demonstration such as power, range, length, weapon information. Points

Upon receipt of the information papers, the Government will review and
evaluate interested participants' requested test requirements. Every
participant will receive uniform treatment and will be notified by 28
July 1995 as to what resources the Government can provide at the test
site. All data and results received during the test will be treated as
proprietary. No facilities are available to secure classified hardware
or data at the test site. There are no Government funds available to
support participants' cost nor shall this be construed as a commitment
by the Government to proceed with any follow-on program. No basis for
claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to
this market survey or Government use of such information. The
Government reserves the right to reject in whole or in part, any
private sector input as a result of this market survey. This market
survey does not constitute the solicitation of proposals. Also,
