Furnish all plant, labor, equipment and material, and perform all operations necessary to renovate the parachute drying tower (MUHJ 95-0423) in Bldg 784 at Langley AFB. The work includes demolition removal of asbestos flooring and lead paint, removal and replacement of exterior doors, gutter, HVAC, electrical connections and lighting. It also includes installing a manhole, parachute washing sink, repairing exterior windows and installing fire protection/detection system. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications, and terms and conditions of the contract. Magnitutde of this project for these buildings is between $100,000 and $250,000. SIC is 1542. The proposed contract listed here is being considered for 100% set aside for small disadvantaged business (SDB) concern. Inerested SDB concerns who wish to be one of the two repsondents that causes the solicitation to be 100% set aside for SDB concerns in accordance with Public Law and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) should, as early as possible, but NLT 15 days of this notice, indicate interest by providing to the Contracting Office evidence of capability to perform, bonding capacity, financial assets or line of credit, work history and contracts, affirmative statement requesting set aside action, and a positive statement of eligibility as an SDB concern as defined in FAR. Letters from sureties and banks attesting to capability shall be current and dated any earlier that 90 days from the date of the response. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concrens, this solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Replies to this notice are therefor requested from all business conerns. All firms resonding to this notice shall indicate whether they are bidding as prime contractor, subcontractor, or supplier. Firms shall also indicate if they are a large or small business, and whether or not they are womean owned. Only limited written or facsimile requests for the solicitation will be honored.
