Y -- CONSTRUCT CULVERT AT BASE ENTRANCE, PROJECT NUMBER: SHYQ892002 Sol DAHA36-95-B-3002. Due 090195. POC Contracting Officer MSgt Charles R Bishop (717) 948-2360. Project consists of the contractor furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to construt a culvert along the base entrance road. Work includes, but is not limited to installation of a culvert, including excavation, connection to existing culverts, contruction of concrete junction boxes, connection of existing storm drains, and backfill. This project includes construction of 116 linear feet of cast in place concrete junction box which measures approximately 8 feet wide and 6 feet high inside. This project includes the installation of 301 linear feet of aluminum smooth lined corrugated metal pipe (CMP) arch measuring 97 inches wide and 67 inches high. Work under this project is limited to the section of culvert between stations 0+00 and 4+17 as indicated on the contract drawings. The Government will furnish one section of CMP to be used by the contractor. The Government shall secure the required permit from the Dauphin County Conservation District for the installation of the culvert in a stream. The government shall perform soil screening tests to meet the requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources for work at the Harrisburg International Airport superfund site. The soil shall be certified clean by the Department of Environmental Resources prior to the contractor beginning work. The contractor is responsible for all other environmental permits which may be required for this construction activity. Project site is located at the PA Air National Guard Base, Harrisburg International Airport, Middletown, PA. Solicitations will be available o/a 1 AUG 95. Estimated cost of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. No telephone requests. Only written requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. Only written requests for the solicitation package received within 10 days of the date of the solicitation will be accepted.
