New number (310)725-7562 effective 7-17-95 Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials (except Government Furnished Property) required or necessary to construct a new 4-box Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) System to serve Arcata/Eureka Municipal Airport Runway 32; City of Arcata, California. Construction includes but not limited to: trenching, backfilling, compaction, graveling, concrete work, electrical work such as; conduit/cable installation, wiring and testing, clean-up, and the demolition of an existing Visual Approach Slope Indicator (VASI) System, in strict accordance with FAA specifications and drawings. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $25,000 and $100,000.00. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1629. This notice BELOW is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP), at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximun line of credit is $500,000.
