Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following minimum items: (1) Remove, inspect and reinstall tail shafts, (2) Remove and reinstall stern tube seal assemblies, (3) Renew water-lubricated bearings, (4) Remove and reinstall propellers, (5) Preserve underwater body, (6) Provide temporary logistics, and (7) Routine Drydocking, etc. Indefinite items include but not limited to the following: (1) Additional Temporary Logistics, etc. Vessel's homeport is Cheboygan, MI. The place of performance is restricted to the Great Lakes Area. Vessel availability schedule is 05 Sep 95 for 28 days. Vessel length is 290 Foot Icebreaker. Referenced documents are available for viewing at building 400N, Governors Island, NY. A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 28 Jul 95. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
