70 -- DATA DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM EXPANSION SOL 8-W-5-14-92609 POC Contact Patsy Hoffman, GP24-I/Contract Specialist, 205-544-7040, or Jane Maples, GP24-L/Contracting Officer NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for a Data Distribution System (DDS), Sytronics, Inc. part number 092D000, which will expand an existing Sytronics DDS by ninety-six input channels and one hundred forty-four output channels -- NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the above from Sytronics Inc, Dayton OH -- Specifications for the DDS are as follows: The expansion shall be contained in no more than two 19-inch wide by 7-ft high equipment cabinets and shall include all internal necessary power supplies and plug-in replaceable module backplanes and circuit boards -- The existing DDS software shall be modified by the contractor to provide control and status of the ninety-six input channels and one hundred forty-four output channels as well as all existing channels -- Contractor shall provide a DDS source code on a 3 1/2 inch MS-DOS compliant diskette and three sets of EPROMS -- The DDS expansion shall provide selectable routing and distribution of the ninety-six input and one hundred forty-four output channels, where each channel contains RS 422 NRZ-L clock and data signals -- All input and output connectors shall interface to Trompter PL-75 connectors -- The contractor shall provide four copies of complete documentation -- Installation and acceptance testing shall be performed by the contractor at MSFC -- Expansion shall come with a minimum one-year warranty -- Quantity 1 expansion system -- FOB destination NASA/George C.
