DynCorp Information and Engineering Technology (DynCorp), under contract to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), intends to sole-source to Octel Communications Corporation a contract for maintenance services and equipment warranty on all EPA-owned and operated OCTEL (27) and VMX (3) voice processing systems installed nationally. Requirements include coverage of approximately 30 voice processing systems nationally with options for parts only, 8-5 full coverage, 24 hour full coverage, and access to manufacturer direct technical assistance. Full coverage will include all parts and services for the period specified. The basis for this sole-source is a requirement for the vendors to be certified and authorized Octel dealer/distributors, and the costs of soliciting and managing up to 30 separate subcontracts has been determined to be prohibitive. There is no solicitation for this requirement. Any vendor who believes they can provide this requirement must submit their qualifications in writing to the above address within 15 calendar days after the date of this announcement. (192)
