Ching, Contracting Officer, (360) 396-0264. PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. The work includes removal and replacement of the existing fuel storage system at the USCG Marine Safety Office. This includes: removal of three underground storage tanks (UST's) and two aboveground storage tanks (AST's); the consolidation of diesel, gasoline, waste oil, and bilge slop storage areas using AST's; providing a new fuel dispensing system to include fueling at the storage area and on the pier; providing an access road between the fuel storage area and the hazardous waste building; demolishing the existing pump house; providing a 60 gallon daytank outside the Emergency Generator Room to supply the generator. Excavation zone soil assessment is required at the UST and underground piping locations, as specified. Soil assessment is also required at the location of the existing AST's. Base bid shall allow for hydrocarbon contaminated soil removal in quantity shown on plans. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement may be encountered. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 07 August 1995 at no charge until supply is exhausted. Contract completion time is 100 calendar days.
