Administrative Base Building and the Airport Traffic Control Tower
(ATCT) at the Piedmont Triad International Airport, Greensboro, North
Carolina, Construct the renovations of and additions to the
Administrative Base Building and the ATCT.--Work includes, but is not
limited to replacement of water chiller, chilled water piping, valves,
air diffusers, air handling units, fans, pumps, expansion tank, HVAC
control system,air separator, chemical feeder, insulation, and portions
of the HVAC ductwork system; installation of VAV boxes, fans, rooftop
air conditioning unit, rooftop air handling unit, split-type HVAC
system, electric duct heaters; removal of hotwater boiler, hot water
piping, and all associated items. Provide temporary air conditioning
systems. Provide test and balance, checkout and commissioning of new
equipment. Provide new electrical distribution panelboards, electric
circuits, safety switches, fire alarm system components, and other work
to provide proper electrical power and control service to all equipment
involved inthis contract work.--Estimated price range
$100,000.00-$250,000.00.--Estimated performance time is 90 calendar
days.--All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be
considered.--NOTE: For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small
andDisadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority,
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital andbonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000.00 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The
DOT Bonding Assistance Programs enables firms to apply for bid,
performance and payment bonds up to $500,000.00 per contract. DOT
provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
