The Federal Bureau of Prisons at Minersville Pa is requesting non-personal services for a Optometrist. The solicitation packages will be available on July 24, 1995 with an anticipated bid opening on or about August 22, 1995. The successful bidder will be on or about August 22, 1995. The successful bidder will be responsible for examining and prescribing eye glasses for each inmate examined as needed. He/She will do specialized testing for glaucoma of the eye, ocular pressures, and other special test to determine the need for eye glasses and special treatments. Services are requested for a four hour day once a week. The resulting contract will be a one year contract, starting 1 October 1995 through 30 September 1996. Additionally, the successful bidder will be required to pass a background investigation. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
