Mitchell at (612) 290-5763 The project sites are located on the Upper Mississippi River, near Trempealeau and Stoddard, Wisconsin, respectively. The project involves bank stabilization of one existing island in Pool 6 and four in Pool 8 and construction of three small rockfill islands in Pool 8. Various rockfill structures would be used for stabilization, including offshore rock mounds, rock groins, and riprap on the shoreline of the island. A total of about 3,000 linear feet of shoreline would be stabilized using about 10,000 cubic yards of rockfill. A small amount of dredging may be required for access at Pool 8. This material would be placed behind the proposed rockfill stabilization structures at the sites. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. (P.L. 100-656). SIC Code - 1629, the Small Business Size is $17 million. Estimated magnitude of the construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range between $250,000 and $500,000.
