of Congress Center for the Book intends to negotiate on a sole source
basis with its partners, the Arizona Center for the Book, Phoenix,
Arizona; the Colorado Center for the Book, Golden, Colorado; and the
Texas Center for the Book, Dallas, Texas for planning and hosting
Library/Head Start/Museum workshops in their respective states. In
cooperation with the Library's Center for the Book, each state center
will be required to develop a list of potential workshop participants
to represent the three different aspects of the partnership (libraries,
Head Start programs, museums); develop and maintain conference roster
and issue invitations; handle all logistical planning for the
conference and conference participants, including locating suitable
site, providing for audio visual needs, recording, and photography for
the conference; develop a workshop program tailored to the special
interest/needs of each state; handle all necessary publicity for the
conference, coordinating its program and related activities with
libraries, Head Start programs, and museums throughout each state; and
prepare a report for submission to Head Start and possible publication
by the Center for the Book of the Library of Congress. NO SOLICITATION
