Dull, 307/775-3917, Contract Administrator. The work consists of the
following principle features: Install Fuel Monitoring/Leak Detection
Systems at the Missile Alert Facility (MAF) November-01 (N-01). The
contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment
and insurance necessry to: (1) Excavate and expose TK-107 (Deep bury)
14,500-gallon fuel storage tank at MAF Site N-01, clean an modify tank
TK-107 for new monitor standpipe and sleeve, provide monitor components
to add tank to existing monitoring equipment, repair existing recent
tank lining at modifications, test tank and effected piping, rebury
tank, reinstall fill, vent, pump-out and spill containmet equipment
removed to facilitate excavation, add spill alarms and provide
temporary fuel during work. (2) Excavate and expose TK-115 (Shallow
bury) 2,500-gallon fuel storage tank at MAF Site N-01, clean and modify
TK-115 for new monitor standpipe, repair tak lining at modification,
rebury tank, reinstall fill, vent, and pump-out piping and equipment
removed to facilitate excavation, add spill alarms and provide
temporary fuel during work. (3) MAF N-01 is located in Weld County,
Colorado, near New Raymer. Security requirement will restrict work
scheduling through limiting conditions that can exist overnight and the
contractor will be escorted at all times on site. All work will be in
accordance with the requirements of the Colorado State Oil Inspector
Office. Performance period for a firm fixed price construction contract
awarded as a result of this solicitation will be 310 calendar days.
Invitation of Bids (IFB) is limited and will be furnished to the
requestor on a first-received, first-served basis until supply is
exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. The issue date will
be on or about 5 Jul 95 with bid opening date 30 days after issuance.
The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 to $250,000. This
action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged
Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our
office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime
contractor as early as possible but not later than 21 Jun 95. This
notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a
small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern,
evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information
which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this
complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management
experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted
with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB
concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis
without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still
