VORTAC to Doppler VORTAC, Jackson International Airport, Jackson,
Mississippi.--Work includes, but is not limited to providing and
installing a 21' x 28' precast concrete equipment shelter, providing an
equipment room and engine generator (E/G) room, complete with 20 kW
propane engine generator; provide and install a 100' diameter x 20'
high galvanized steel counterpoise; install a government-furnished
(GFM) 16' high fiberglass antenna shelter; install GFM tactical air
navigation (TACAN) monitor pole; provide and install a 25' tall wood
doppler monitor pole, with two runs of 3' RSC approximately 200' long;
provide and install approximately 400' of 4' high wood fence,
including one 12' wide, two leaf gate; improve the existing access road
to the site, approximately 1000' long; install approximately 500' of
GFM coaxial cable; provide and install miscellaneous conduit runs and
cabling, provide and install miscellaneous site work.--Estimated price
range $500,000.00-$1,000,000.00.--Estimated performance time is 120
calendar days.--All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be
considered.--NOTE: For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business
Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority,
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital andbonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to
$500,000.00 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The
DOT Bonding Assistance Programs enables firms to apply for bid,
performance and payment bonds up to $500,000.00 per contract. DOT
provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
