Z -- REPLACE ROOFING FOR CAPEHART HOUSING AT NAS MEMPHIS, MILLINGTON, TN. SOL N62467-95-C-5300. DUE 082295. Contact Dolores Quinton (901-873-5061), Contracting Officer, Gary Busby (901-873-5061). Furnish all labor, tools, incidental engineering, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to provide for removal of existing roofing systems (both shingle roofing and built-up roofing), provide new framing to create pitched roofs where the built-up roofing presently exists (these roofed areas are basically flat), and to provide new shingle roofing systems, all for 250 one-story housing units. Capehart Housing consists of 250 housing units with 30 units at one site and 220 units at a different site. The entire 220 unit complex consists of 2-unit (duplex type) structures, each with a housing unit each end separated by 2-carport/storage room areas. The 30 unit complex consists of 10 single unit houses, and 10 of the 2-unit (duplex type) structures. Asphalt shingles exist on pitched roofs for all housing units, except for the carport and storage room areas at the duplex type structures. The roofs of the carport and storage room areas, between units at the duplex type structures, are very low sloped (almost flat) and presently have built-up roofing. As a part of this contract, roof framing is to be reworked at the carport/storage room areas of the duplex type structures in order to create pitched roofs for these areas. Time for completion is 210 calendar days. This project is a firm fixed price construction project. Cost estimate is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
