Project 94-1008 is for Replacement of Motor starting switchgear at Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, material, equipment and transportation necessary to perform the following. DEMOLITION: Identify and disconnect monitoring and control conduit and wiring from existing motor starting switchgear. Existing motor starting switchgear MSS1A, MSS1B, and MSS2 shall be demolished. Existing generator and commercial power feeder conductors to the above motor starting switchgear shall be removed per contract drawings. All motor feeder conductors from the above motor starting switchgear shall be removed. Power feeder conduit shall be removed. NEW INSTALLATION: New motor starting switchgear MSS1A & B, MSS2. New power feeder conduit interface to above switchgear and splice interface. New power feeder conductors from existing sources to the replacement motor starting switchgear. Reconnnect existing monitoring and control circuits to new motor starting switchgear. Conduct operating test for approval. The magnitude of this acquisition is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 11 July 1995 with bid opening on or about 22 Aug 1995. Performance time for this project is 240 calendar days. The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted and all responsible businesses may submit a bid which will be considered by the contracting activity.
