19 -- FLOATING PORTABLE PONTOON, USAED, BALTIMORE, FIELD EXPLORATION UNIT, FT. MCHENRY, MD SOL DACW31-95-B-0119 DUE 072195 POC Cathy Pelekakis (410) 962-4136 This procurement is small business set aside. Contractor shall supply a portable pontoon type floating platform to perform off-shore geotechnical subsurface drilling and sampling operations. The floating platform shall be capable of supporting 10,000 lbs and draft less than 12-inch of water when fully loaded. The platform shall consist of three separate sections and shall be 16 ft by 22 ft and the two extensions shall each be 4 ft by 22 ft. The platform shall have removable railings to meet Corps of Engineers standards and shall have a deck capable of supporting a portable drill rig and ancillary equipment. The floating platform shall be constructed from aluminum alloy and shall not exceed 6,000 lbs of total weight for all three assembled sections. This platform will be capable of easy disassembly into three separat sections and shall be capable of being lifted into and out of the water and loaded onto a suitable trailer for overland (highway) transport. The platform shall be designed and constructed as to meet all applicable U.S. Coast Guard regulations for floating plants and U.D. DOT standards for highway transport.
