PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - Repair/Upgrade/Maintain Base Supply Facility, HTUX 93-0005 A/B/C at the 440th Airlift Wing/General Mitchell International Airport, 300 East College Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53207-6299. This project will have three separate line items and will be awarded on the total aggregate bid of those three line items. Project Repair Base Supply Facility, HTUX 93-0005A consists of the demolition and replacement of all fixtures, paneling, flooring, and cabinets in all toilets; re-surfacing warehouse floors with non-skid urethane surface material; removal and replacement of floor tile in existing corridors; providing carpeting and ceiling tiles in offices and classrooms; a comprehensive replacement of warehouse lighting; and the installation of window treatments. Statutory limitations are not applicable to this project. Project Upgrade Base Supply Facility, HTUX 93-0005B consists of the construction of a new breakroom; the construction of a 150 LF by 25 FT high partition wall; the relocation of the customer service area; extending the existing sprinkler line branches; installing additional electrical and communications outlets; installing vinyl wall covering and minimal re-work of the HVAC controls and ductwork. This project is subject to statutory limitations of $300,000. Project Maintain Base Supply Facility, HTUX 93-0005C consists of the preparation and painting of the open warehouse areas, office and passageways within the Base Supply Facility. The open warehouse areas include the interior steel supporting structure, exposed pipes, electrical conduit and exclosures; stairwells, doors, handrails, interior walls and ceilings, striping, markings and pipe labels. This project is not subject to statutory limitations. Construction magnitude for the three projects is $250,000 - $500,000. Performance time will be 150 calendar days after Notice to Proceed for the accomplishment of all three projects as one effort. Solicitation will be issued on or about 10 Aug 95. This acquisition is being considered for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Set-Aside. Interested SDB firms should as early as possible but no later than 15 days of this notice, notify this office IN WRITING of their intention to bid the project as a prime contractor. This notification MUST include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform a project of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as UNRESTRICTED without further notice. Therefore, replies are requested from ALL interested business concerns. Bid packages will be available to PRIME contractors only a first come first serve basis and must be in writing. (174)
