Provide onsite services in the field of Medical Technologist (Microbiology/Infection Control) at the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. This is considered a contractual agreement and not a personnel appointment. The estimated issue date of this solicitation is July 15, 1995. The contractor will perform microbiology services including streaking the culture plate, identification after incubation and reporting. Evaluate infection controls plans and assist in setting up contigency plans for infectious control. Assist in the development, implementation and continuity of a quality assurance program for infectious control. Serve as a member of the Infectious Control Committee and attend all meetings as scheduled. Services will consist of the following schedule: three sessions per week, a session being defined as eight (8) hours in length. The anticipated period of performance is from date of award through September 30, 1996. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. This requirement is set aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Code is 8099.
