The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking Mobile Diagnostic Radiology (CAT Scans, Ultrasound, Echocardiograms) services for inmates at a correctional facility. Mobile Diagnostic Radiology Services will require contractor (Doctor and Technician) to provide inmates; services in performing Computerized Axial Tomography Scans (CAT Scans), Ultrasound Studies, and Echocardiograms. The Contractor will provide all equipment for taking, reading, interpreting and recording results of x-rays. The Doctor will perform CAT Scans, Ultrasound Studies, and Echocardiograms and provide interpretations for procedures performed or taken by the Special Procedures Technician. Films are to be read an results are to be returned to the institution within two normal working days. Contractor is responsible for insuring results of readings are properly recorded, signed and authenticated in a timely manner. Maintains necessary records and takes initiative to recommend additional films to obtain clearer diagnosis. Contractor will notify FCI/FPC Medical staff on all significant findings. Contractor shall insure compliance with all required JCAHO and OSHA policies regarding radiology services, including quality assessment and improvement procedures. Contractor must be Board Certified in Radiology and possess current State of Kentucky licensure to practice as a Radiologist. Special Procedures Technician must possess current American Registered Radiology Technologist A.R.R.T. Certification and Operator's Permit for Mobile Diagnostic Radiology Services at the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp in Manchester, Kentucky for fiscal year 1996, with as many procedures as needed during approximately 24 visits per year.
