208-364-4128. The purpose of this synopsis is to obtain monitoring
techniques for assessing watershed conditions in the Walker River
drainage system, Toiyabe National Forest, State of Nevada. The
procurement shall obtain services of a contractor experienced in
ecology, ecosystem structure and function, vertebrate and invertebrate
zoology, analytical/statistical skills and graphic information
cpabilities. It is anticipated that this procurement will be pursued on
a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 since there is only
one (1) known responsible source. The anticipated source is Stanford
University, Palo Alto, CA. Stanford has a base data already established
and the availability of experts familiar with the Walker River Basin
and the subject matter. Interested prospective contractors should
submit statements of capability. Responses shall be screened on the
basis of capability to determine if the potential exists for full and
