INTERIOR FLOOR ARMOR FOR H-60 FAMILY AIRCRAFT - 6 SETS - Fiberglass ceramic composite construction NIJ Threat Level IV, with a max weight less than 600 lbs. Floor panels shall provide access to all floor pots and mounting provisions including: cargo hatch, IHOS, Mini-Gun, and SAT-COM areas. Floor panels shall cover entire perimeter of rear aircraft floor and be manufactured in four (4) separate sections to provide field maintenance and usage flexibility. Extreme aft sections shall be sized to double as refueling tank shields if the aircraft is so equipped. Side wall armor shall conform to the curvature of the aircraft and occupy the space from the rear of the ''B'' pillar to the rear of the ''C'' pillar. It shall provide consistent protection for the floor to the window sill but not inhibit the operation of the door gun. It shall also provide footwell access and protection in the footwell areas. All armor shall be padded and covered. Pads shall consist of high-density eurethane foam between 0.450'' and 0.540'' thick. Permanently mounted to the armor, it shall follow all contours and cutouts. Covers shall be removable, black in color, of reinforced vinyl construction, no less than 27 mil thick, flame resistant with time of no less than 0.4 seconds at a 3/4'' char length, breaking strength of no less than 310 lbs/in, and a test resistance of no less than 160 lbs. Attachments for securing armor shall not require any modifications to the airframe and rely upon existing unused mounting floor pots, mounting straps and fuselage edge flanges. All securing attachments shall reside beneath the padded surfaces level, be field serviceable, be finished in corrosion resistant coatings and maintain a 3:1 stress ratio. FOB Patrick AFB FL.
