The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking qualified organizations capable of providing Medical Waste Disposal Services. Services include, but are not limited to: picking up and transporting all containers of infectious waste collected at FCI, Manchester to the designated place for proper disposition in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Contractor will provide OSHA approved containers and bag inserts for storage and transporation of collected waste. Waste will be picked up at least once per week and if needed up to two times per week, Monday through Friday. Emergency pickups will be handled on an as needed basis. The estimated issue date of the Request for Quotations is July 17, 1995, with an anticipated Receipt of Offers date of August 1, 1995. The contract period will include a base year not to exceed twelve months with (4) one year option periods for renewal. Requests for proposals should be in writing only.
