The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Manchester, KY, intends to award a non-personal service contract for providing Dental Assistant servicew to the inmate population at the FCI and Camp for fiscal year 1996. The Contractor will provide services 36 hours per week consisting of three (3), 2-hour sessions per day, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The Contractor must have had formal training as a Dental Assistant, either at an accredited school or from a licensed dentist through on the job training. Must be certified/licensed in radiology and radiology safety. The Contractor must have a minimum of one (1) year experience as a Dental Assistant. The contractor will provide, but is not limited to the following: Assisting Dental Officers with restorations, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthetics, examinations by preparing the dental treatment room, and making primary impressions and pouring of the casts. The contractor maintains dental equipment; cleans, sharpens, and sterilizes instruments; performs daily inspection of equipment, and makes minor repairs. The Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester, KY, intends to award a base year contract in FY 1996 with options to renew the contract for three (3) consecutive years.
