Sources Sought who can provide an HF receiver control system which must control 4 HF receivers and be expandable to 8, in any combination of local and modem-remoted receivers. The system must be completely controllable from a single control console. 4 HF receivers with frequency coverage of 15 KHZ to 30 MHZ, modes AM FM CW USB LSB ISB. Scanning F1-F2 scan (down to 1 KHZ steps) F1-F2 scan with lockouts. Channel scan (100 channels capability). Operator selectable RS 232 remote control. Independent speaker and headphone controls. Illuminated display. Built-in self test. AGC control. Physical characteristics; 19'' rack mountable, front panel controls and indicators, frequency control keyboard, main tuning control, tune rate control, lock control, BFO control, AF gain control, frequency MHZ (8 digits), BFO KHZ (3 digits), RF meter indication, mode display, BFO tuning indication, fault indicator, Rear panel connectors, antenna input connector (type N, BCN or RF) RS 232 remote interface, power input IEC e pin, speaker output, line audio output. CONTROL DEVICE; The operator control console shall be in a personaol computer platform, and shall consist of a keyboard, VGA screen, pointing device (mouse, trackball, pen), and a microprocessor of 486/50 speed or better. The display must be in a windows-type environment and be able to show status of all receivers and monitor features such as frequency, squelch, AGC, gain, band width and detection mode. Use of the mouse to click on one of the receivers will allow the operator to monitor and control all features of aone receiver. While in this mode the operator can set up a scan on the receiver called up and generate a spectral display (RF PAN) showing signal activity. An example would be 500 KHZ RF pan display with 10 KHZ resolution updated every two seconds. The controller device will be a desk model PC with 17 inch VGA video display or better. The controller must have an installed RS-232 expansion card able to run four ports, with ability to expand to eight ports through additional card or card upgrade. No modems will be used in this configuration. However, the system must support expansion through installation of remotely located receivers controllable through commercially available modems.
