The U.S. Department of Education, National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), proposes to award a thirty-six month contract to enhance the performance of NIDRR's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Technical Assistance (TA) grant program by: (1) coordinating the activities of the ADA TA grantees (the Disability Business Technical Assistance Centers (DBTACs) and National Training Projects (NTPs) among themselves and between the ADA TA grantees and appropriate Federal agencies; (2) assisting the TA grantees in their technical assistance and materials development activities by reviewing materials and providing the DBTACs and NTPs with timely information, including information generated by NIDRR research projects; (3) promoting the efforts of the DBTACs through a public relations campaign; and (4) reporting the various activities that the ADA TA grantees undertake on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. The authority for these services is contained in Tilte II, Section 202(g) of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended (29 U.S.C. 760-762). The Department of Education intends to procure for all the tasks for a base period of thirty-six months. Anticipated issue date is on or about July 13, 1995; closing date August 14, 1995.
