The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Manchester, KY, intends to award a non-personal service contract for providing Expanded Duty Dental Assistant services to the inmate population at the FCI and Camp for fiscal year 1996. The Contractor will provide services 36 hours per week consisting of three (3), 2-hour sessions per day, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The Contractor, at a minimum, must be certified by a licensed school teaching Dental Assistance or through Continuing Education Units from an accredited College or University. Must be certified/licensed in radiology and radiology safety. The Contractor must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Dental Assistant. The Contractor will provide, but is not limited to the following: Screening patients and making appointments; retrieving patient records; preparing patient for treatment; making necessary entries in dental records; making primary impressions and pouring casts; and placing finishing dental restoations and amalgam composite restorations, including selecting appropriate tooth shade. The Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester, KY intends to award a base year contract in FY 1996 with options to renew the contract for two (2) consecutive years.
