FISCHER, (616)660-3074, Additional Contact, KATHERINE YOUNG, (616)660-3076 Furnish all necessary labor, equipment, tools, material, supervision and other items or services necessary to perform all operations in connection with removal and or encapsulation of asbestos and its disposal as required at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Battle Creek, Michigan. The solicitation will be issued as a request for proposals and will be evaluated for award on other factors in addition to lowest cost. Technical proposals will be required and evaluation will consist of technical approach, company experience and personnel qualifications, asbestos handling and disposal and cost evaluation. The Government estimate is between $250,000 and $500,000 and will indefinite quantity for a period of one year from date of award. Solicitation will be issued subject to the availability of funds and will be available on or before July 21, 1995. Proposal are due by 2:00 p.m., local time, August 21, 1995. A $50.00 deposit for each solicitation package is required. The deposit must be in the form of certified check, cashiers check, or money order payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Refund will be made upon the return of bid documents in good condition, without marks, notes or mutilations, within 20 calendar days after proposal due date. All deposits must clearly identify company name and address. Only written requests will be accepted. This is a total labor surplus area set-aside. Note #3 applies. (0174)
