Pending internal approval, the Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue orders on multiple occasions for a two year period against Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-95-G-5630 with Westinghouse Norden Systems, 75 Maxess Road, Melville, NY, 11747-3182. Orders will be issued for the materials and services required for the evaluation and implementation of equipment changes/product improvements for the AN/SYS-2(V) IADT System Series. This includes conducting special studies, surveys, evaluations and tests to determine the feasibility and/or applicability of proposed equipment changes. It also includes the development and furnishing of Field Change Kits, necessary proofing and/or testing. Also involved are training, documentation changes and any necessary packing, packaging and marking of the end items. There are also Instructor Advisory Services and Design Agent Support needed. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). Westinghouse Norden is the sole producer of the AN/SYS-2(V) IADT System. It is the only company which possesses the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
