58 -- ROCKWELL EXPANSION POC Monica Yankle tel: (410) 966-0392 The Social Security Administration (SSA) owns a number of Rockwell Galaxy GVS-3000s and GVS-050s automatic call distributors (ACD's) located nationwide. These systems were installed by the Rockwell International Corporation, Downers Grove, Chicago, IL and are being maintained under contract 600-94-14435. SSA intends to expand its call answering capacity with the addition of 2,323 spike units and 124 supervisor positions, along with whatever additional peripheral equipment and software is required to accomplish the expansions. All equipment must be new and maintenance coverage will commence upon installation of the equipment. The expansions will be made at the following locations: Jamaica, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Birmingham, AL; Chicago, IL; Kansas City, MO; and Richmond, CA. Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, SSA intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Rockwell International to obtain these expansions. See notes 12 and 22. Responses to this notice should be submitted in duplicate within 30 days of the publication of this notice and should refer to ''Rockwell Expansion.'' Responses must include number and qualification of employees, an outline of previous, relevant experience and projects, a description of facilities and other pertinent descriptive literature. Respondents must provide a copy of any agreement with Rockwell that confirms their ability to order Galaxy equipment and software from Rockwell. Solicitation requests will not be acknowledged.
