Wisor, Phone (703)604-1920 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract on a sole source basis with Rockwell International, Communications System Division, Richardson, Texas, under contract N00019-93-C-0136. The contract modification will include the redesign, test and subsequent retrofit of the Long Trailing Wire Antenna (LTWA) and Utility Trailing Wire Antenna (UTWA) reel assemblies that are currently part of the High Power Transmit Set (HPTS) design. The effort will include the cost of removing the aluminum reel, and the installation and flight test of a solid steel reel replacement reel design. Rockwell International is the only responsible source with the required knowledge, experience and technical data capable of implementing the changes in a timely and effective manner.
